EN 388 — Protezione meccanica
Classifica i guanti secondo 4 criteri: abrasione (0-4), taglio da lama (0-5), strappo (0-4), perforazione (0-4). Dal 2016, un 5° criterio TDM (A-F) completa la norma.
EN 374 — Protezione chimica
Indica la resistenza alla penetrazione e alla permeazione di prodotti chimici. Verificate la scheda di sicurezza del prodotto manipolato per conoscere il livello richiesto.
EN 407 — Protezione termica
6 indicatori di prestazione contro il calore da contatto, la fiamma, il calore convettivo, radiante, gli spruzzi di metallo fuso.

Come leggere le marcature EN 388 su un guanto?
I numeri indicano le prestazioni: es. EN 388 4543 significa abrasione livello 4, taglio da lama livello 5, strappo 4, perforazione 3. Più alto è il numero, migliore è la protezione.
Che differenza c'è tra guanti in nitrile e in lattice?
I guanti in nitrile sono privi di lattice, ipoallergenici, resistenti a oli e solventi. Sono preferiti nell'industria. I guanti in lattice offrono una migliore sensibilità tattile ma possono provocare allergie.
